Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him) said:

There is nothing wrong with new concepts and new words, unless there is something bad about them.

This principle of using new terminologies is well-known among the fuqaha’ and scholars of usool.

Scholars have divided Tawhid into three categories , as follows:

1. Tawhid al-Rububiyyah (Oneness of Divine Lordship)

2. Tawhid al-Uluhiyyah (Oneness of Divinity)

3. Tawhid al-Asma wa’l-Sifat (Oneness of the Divine Names and Attributes).
