Sincerity

Sincerity and purity of intent which negates shirk !

This means purity of action with a sound intention, free from any contamination of shirk.

Allah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“Surely, the religion (i.e. the worship and the obedience) is for Allah only.”

[al-Zumar 39:3]

“And they were commanded not, but that they should worship Allah, and worship none but Him Alone (abstaining from ascribing partners to Him)…”

[al-Bayyinah98:5]

In al-Sahih, it is narrated from Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:

“The people who will be most deserving of my intercession will be those who say La ilaha ill-Allah sincerely from their hearts or their souls.”
