1. Laam Al-Qamariyyah ูุงูู
ุงููููู
ูุฑููููุฉ
It is written and pronounced, and after it a Shaddah "ููู" does not appear.
Easily identified in Quran as after a Lamm, Shaddah would not exist and Laam will have a sukoon over it.
The rule: It will be recited with Ithโhar "ุฅุธูุงุฑ" i.e, clarity if after the Laam comes any of the Huroof Al-Qamariyyah (Moon Letters).
The Moon letters are:
ุง, ุจ, ุบ , ุญ , ุฌ , ู , ู , ุฎ , ู , ุน , ู , ู , ู
, ู
And they are collected in the phrase:
ุงูุจูุบู ุญูุฌูููู ููุฎููู ุนููููู
ู

2. Laam As-Shamsiyyah ูุงูู
ุงูุดููู
ูุณููููุฉ
It is written but not pronounced, and after it a Shaddah will appear.
The rule: It will be read with Idghaam (To merge) without Ghunna (Nasal Sound) if after the Laam comes any of the Huroof As-Shamsiyyah (Sun Letters).
Note: ONLY the letter Nun will be read with Idghaam with Ghunna (Nasal Sound)
The Sun letters are: The rest of the letters after taking out the moon letters.
They are the beginning letters in this verse โ
